book search

Post  Esha on Tue Feb 28, 2012 5:23 pm

Esha was in the library looking for audio books, which she was delighted that they had a full bookcase full of them, she took one and put it in her pocket. Her eyes and vision meant she literally couldn't read, Which was embarrassing and aggravating in almost all situations, She liked being read to or audio books.

She saw a person struggling with a large amount of books in her hands, all different sizes. The thick books started to teeter precariously. She walked over silently behind the her and tapped her shoulder softly

"Can I help you with those?"

The Jinn grunted as she heaved a pile of books she had knocked off the shelf (again) off the floor.

She cursed herself and her ability to look at a bookcase and have the entire thing come down on her head. Seriously, all she had done was glance at the bookcase as she walked past, heading towards her favourite area. And, apparently, that warranted murderous books trying to kill her. Again.

She jumped a little when a hand touched her bare shoulder.

"If you would be so kind," she called around the pile of books piled so high they were covering her face. She'd do proper meet and greet protocol after the attempted-murderers had been put back in their cells.

The stone person took half the books out of her face, and held them in front of her and was surprised at their weight. How would she manage to read all these?

Esha put the books down and looked at the empty shelf, what had happened here? She helped put the books back and dusted her hands off, they were dusty after handling those books, how old were they? More years than cab be put as candles on a birthday cake without being insulting, she decided. Once she put all her books away she started helping the girl with brightly coloured hair. She dusted her whole outfit off.

Some of these books hadn't ever been touched since they'd been place there years ago. The moths living inside them proved it.

"Thanks," she muttered when the last of the books had been put away.

She dusted off her hands then looked down at her jumpsuit and whined. It was covered. She shook out her silver hair and whined again when when a cloud of dust poured from it resulting in a sharp sneeze from the Jinn.

She rubbed at her nose as the cloud dissipated and gave the woman that had helped her a small smile.

Meet and greet protocol time now that the books had been herded back to their shelf to fall down on some other innocent person - but she had a strong feeling it'd be her again. Books just seemed to like her. "Hi, I'm Raye-Majick." She held her hand out politely.

She stepped back and admired their joint effort, it looked like it would collapse again due to the weak shelf or the fact the books the shelf were far too heavy to be up that high, probably a combination a of both. The person she was helping, a puff of dust came out of her hair and she sneezed cutely into the air.

The Girl extended her hand, and Esha shook it, "Esha Meena, nice to meet you Raye." She rolled the name over a few times within her head. It's was nice and to the point and she could pronounce it clearly within one shot without thinking too hard.

She ruffled her hair and didn't breathe but the dust came out in a cloud, it got in her eyes, but she blinked it out.

"Its a pleasure, Esha. Sorry for dragging you into putting away the books." She sent said books a filthy look and ran her hands through her tousled silver hair, creating another cloud of dust.

Her nose wrinkled and she sneezed quietly. "Damn dust..."

"So... Any particular reason you're in the library or did you hear about me and decide I was stalk-worthy?" she joked with an easy grin, brushing down the legs of her jumpsuit.

The terrors of having black clothing - dust was really noticeable. So annoying...

Raye's clothes were speckles with bit of dust. Probably what My hair is like, thought Esha. She ruffled it again and more dust came out of it, settling on her nose. She swiped it off lightly and looked at her new acquaintance. "And after all the talk about your extreme beauty and charm, I decided I had too meet you, and beholdened, Raye needed saving from these evil, wicked books" She said in mock dramatics, in a deep tone.

She'd actually had to learn it travelling around, she'd learned to copy and speak in local dialects almost immediately upon travelling to a new area. It surprised her how convincing it was, and how Slavic it sounded. Esha the Russian cassanova, nobody would never have thought it. She continued her macho tone "Come my love, we should ride into the sun set before these books fall again"

She laughed loudly before she could stop herself, it echoed throughout the quiet library.

"Yare yare, people have been talking? Such a fair maiden as myself has been the subject of gossips?" she gasped, pressing her hand to her mouth as if such a thought of being the centre of gossip was something terrible.

She threw her arm over her eyes. "Yes, these terrible, villianous books have been bullying me yet again." Again was right. It seemed almost evry time she was in here a book was trying to attack her. But last time such dramatic plots ensued she was playing princess with an evil villian trying to kidnap her. That was fun. "You are so brave to go against such evils as the books to save me. I will be forever in your debt."

With an over-drmaticised nod, she threw herself to Esha to wrap ehr arms around her neck. "Yes, lover, let us go ride off into the sunset!" By the end of her sentence she was laughing just as loud as Esha, only keeping herself up by the arms banded around the other woman's neck.

The other girl's weight close to her body was nothing new and she wasn't awkward. She learned to live with it when she was learning to dance, there were no males to take the male parts in the shows or practice. But that was a different time, women didn't even have the vote at the time.

She heard the girl laugh as hard as she did, in an ever-so creepy way she could feel the girl's warmth. She was cold? she had never noticed. She did guess stone was slightly cold...

She went for a ballroom spin with a mischievous grin I will be forever in your debt, then maybe she could have a short dance... the routine she had in mind was very simple most people could perform it when she was young, and if she didn't have the know how it could be freestyle, it wasn't hard for a beginner when they had an experienced partner to guide it and keep it on track.

Who cared if it was in a library, At least she was using it?

"No nonononono," she cried, stumbling as she was span then clinging to the other woman as soon as she could.

"I can't dance. I really can't dance." She was clumsy as an Ox and worse at dancing than one. She really did but shame to her tribe name with her inability to dance.

Any dance that didn't involve an inanimate object to hold and/or swing around, Raye couldn't do. At all.

When the girl started protesting and choking her with the tightness she was holding her, she slowed right down. Her throat and partially turned to stone around her neck and shoulders so it wouldn't hurt her, or god forbid bruise. She didn't need bruises with her healing rate.

Her eyebrow hitched "Can't dance? Not an excuse." she laughed and gave a small pfft noise at the idiocy of it. Couldn't dance? Anybody could dance.

"So Raye, why can't you dance?"
