And we all fall down...

It dosent seem like anyone noticed Hex enter the island, the only ones knowing he even arrived, being Hendry and Jeo, who was contently wrapped around his neck. Wandering aimlessly- being one the things hes mastered – he stumbled apon the huge library. Hex couldent say he wasent impressed, not once had he seen such a huge library like this one, knowledge around every corner. He decided to pull a book at random, just being something to pass the time. The robot took a ladder, and choose a bookcase at random, and started climbing a few steps. Only being a few yards above the ground – agenst his better judgement- Hex looked down, only to get extreme Vertigo. He smiled as the end of it twitched slightly, one of his alternitives to acting scared “Lovely…” he muttered, gripping onto the ladder tighter, then looking up, and continuing scaleing it slowly. After he was a little more than 10 yards up, he pulled a random -rather old looking- book and examined it “Ebenezer Scrooge’s Christmas ?” examined the historic book and skimmed through some pages as he allowed the MT over his eye to scan it

Many small micilanious facts about the book appeared, as Hex looked through them, none but one caught his eye, except for one

He choked, eyes widening in shock at the value of the book he just happen to grab. He would never be able to pay for such a thing…ever, for the robotic boy wasent the most economically gifted, so in fear he might ruin it, he immediately shut the pre historic book, releasing dust into the air around him. “Hihh-!” the boy hovered his hand over his nose, feeling a sneeze build up as he tried to place the book back in its original spot. “Heh-'tchoo!” he sneezed into his hand, and from having no hands on the ladder, the force pushed the robotic boy down, his foot slipping and setting him head first down to the floor, the book snuggly put back in place just before the boy fell.

Hex screamed in fear. He could break, and after all that effort for getting to the academy, well, it would have been all for nothing, and what would he do, go back to Kronos, saying hes sorry for leaving, will you take me back in? I don’t think so. He had nearly a split second to think, he extended his robotic arm towards the ladder and gripped the first thing he could, his efforts seeming to pay off. He hung from the left side of the ladder, being only a yard or two from the ground when he stopped. Taking a breath, his attention suddenly turned to his snake, he yelped “Gah! Jeo!” he felt around his shirt with his free hand, but his bad luck wasent over left. The latter became too heavy one one side from the boy, making it topple over. As he felt it start to fall, he tried to cushion his fall slightly by letting go of the ladder and placing his hands and legs on the ground, it helped, but then the massave ladder landed on the poor boy. Hex groaned as he lay on the floor, his small snake leaving his shirt, unharmed. He opened his eye and looked at the small reptile, unable to muster enough strength to get up at this time “I hate you…..so….much” he moaned, Jeo simply stuck out his tounge a few times at the boy.

((Haha, I love torturing Oc's xD Oh, and Hex hasent exactily made it to the island even yet, still working that out in the Boatman, but I just wanted to get antoher topic started here ^^

and might I point out, Hex is still human, just with robotic parts, he still eats, sneezes, crys ectect......))

Kale had been descending from her room, the top floor of the tower that housed the library, when she heard a loud clatter. The first noise was what appeared to be a sneeze, and the second was a scream, while the third was a loud bang. Figuring that sequence of events could never been good, she glided around in circles before spotting what appeared to be a boy underneath a ladder. The harpy dived down to land on the top of a bookcase, before folding her wings and dropping into the narrow space between the rows. Unlocked knees absorbed the shock as her talons dug into the carpet. Standing straight, she looked down on the groaning boy with a, although understandably questioning, unimpressed look.

"Do I even wan' to know wha' you are doing, dear?" Kale pronounced around her Parisian accent as she raised a delicate eyebrow. Her hand rested on her hip, not moving a finger in an offer to help.

Hex had dug his face towards the carpet in shame as he seemed to take the fall worse than his snake. "Man, screw this..." as he started to prop himself up with his hands, he looked up, just to hear the harpy talk to him. His jaw dropped slightly, not only did he get caught by someone, flailing around like a total idiot; he caught by someone he had never even met before. Man, talk about first impressions...

"I-- Uhh...It’s just--" he looked around the floor, realizing much of the lower half of his body was covered by ladder. He tinted pink in embarrassment slightly as he pulled himself from the large ladder and looked back at it, crisscross sitting on the floor "Uhh.....Pardon me." he stood up and picked up the ladder, seeming to have only the slightest bit of trouble with it as he balanced it agents the bookcase. "Uhh...." he turned around swiftly towards Kale, he examined her for a second, eyes never meeting with hers. He smiled and scratched the back of his head "Sorry you had to...Uhh...witness, that..." his eyes made it back to the floor, as he saw his pet snake, too close to Kale for comfort. "Uhh, wait! Oh, Uhh, Jeo!" he got down on one knee and picked up his reptilian friend from his tail and placed him on his arm, as he slithered up once again around his neck, keeping his head propped up and smelling Kale with its tongue. Hex cleared his throat and petted his snake's head with his finger "I'm...Dreadfully sorry...Ms...Uhh..." he seemed to regain most of his composure as he said "Sorry, I don’t believe I caught your name..."

Kale couldn't help but grin as she stifled a laugh. Really, the boy was far too amusing a character, what with his very awkward air about this whole situation. When he picked up his snake - who was apparently dubbed "Jeo" - she only smiled. "Your snake is adorable." Of course, Kale wasn't one to really care, but their interaction with each other was truthfully heartwarming, despite a little pointless from her point of view. The Harpy didn't believe in a no-gain relationship.

"Ah, yes. I am Dean Kale, but I am also the Science professor, and the Guardian of Sionnach House here at the Academy. I imagine that you are a new student." Her wings shuffled behind her lightly as she held out a hand in greeting. "As for your accident here, it's not problem, I assure you. The ladders are a bit rickety. You are alright, though, yes?" The harpy looked up at the boy, who, now that he was standing, appeared to be roughly five inches taller than her.

Now smiling a bit more confidently, the boy thanked Kale warmly for the comment about his pet "Heh, yeah, I love the 'lil guy to death." he explained, nuzzeling up agenst the snake with his cheek, giggling slightly as he did so, the small reptile laying its head over his torso as a responce. He looked back at Kale, seeing a hand extended towards him "Lovely...And Yeah, I'm fin-". He put his robotic hand towards hers, only it to lock in place only a few inches from the girls. "Uhh..." he looked at his hand, a more self-conscious version kicking in from meeting one of his professors in such an awkward manor, unable to fully introduce himself "P-pardon me...Again" he said regretfully, grabbing the robotic part of his robotic wrist and jolting it down back to his side, then moving his fingers a few times to see if it was just a small kink. He smiled awkwardly, extending his hand once more "W-well , nice to meet you, Professor Kale, my name is Hex, I am indeed a new student." Jeo slithered back into Hex's shirt, seeming to dissappear into the robotic boy, as he eyed the girl once more "Might I just say, I find your wings facinating..."

Kale smiled warmly at the display of affection towards the snake. But had to raise an eyebrow, smile falling, as the student seemed to hesitate taking her hand. The boy's personality immediately receded back into a shy awkward state, and he excused himself again. Only after a moment, in which Kale patiently waited in silent curiosity, did the arm seem to heed it's master once again. With the second try, the harpy grasped the greeting, finding the hand cold and hard. Looking down, taken off-guard, she found the limb to be mechanical. She was brought back to the current situation by the student's voice.

"Ah, yes. Well, thank you." She laughed slightly. "I'm a barn owl harpy, originated from the old Parisian tribes. My wings are quite essential to my life style. And I'm glad I've gotten to meet you as well, but the pleasure is all yours." Kale grinned like nothing was wrong with that sentence. "Now, from your hand, you are robotic?"

(( Ah, I miss Ibni. xP I like Hex a lot too though, maybe more, the robot stuff is awesome. And the snake is just so frickin adorable. ))

Hex listened eagerly to the responce to his comment "Interesting!..." he said enthusiasticaly, smiling slightly, an eyebrow raised, looking back at the harpy. The boy loved learning new things about new people, and he could never say he had met someone like Kale before, but he felt as if he couldn't just ask as many questions as he wanted. Thinking he hasn't formed a strong enough bond with his science professor considering they have just met. The boy grinned and pressed a hand to his chest lightly, chuckling at the girls wordplay "I guess it is."

His smile dropped slightly as she mentioned his robotic hand though. "Yeah..." he muttered, his tone changing a bit more monotonistic than before he proceeded to roll up his sleeve too his elbow, holding up his hand for a few seconds to show the girl. Reveling a large chunk of smooth metal replacing his limb, before pulling it back down and placing his hands in his pockets. He perfered to act as human as possible and keep his roboticness hidden- although he would never admit that outloud- in fear he might be shunned, so he tried to not take any more attention too it by commenting jokingly "This library is huge, I'm afraid I'm never going to find my dorm." Although it did have a hint of truth, the boy was never good about finding his way around large areas.

Kale laughed warm-heartedly, quite the contrary to how dead her heart was in it's emotional sense. But her eye lit up upon seeing the sleek metal limb and she had almost reached out to touch. Before she could, though, Hex covered his arm and tried to change the subject. The harpy blinked and leaned back. She was non-relenting.

"You know, that's really cool. I've never met a human robot before." She scoffed. "Humans, what will they think of next?" She shook her head lightly and flipped her bangs out of her sight lazily. "You know, there is a student of mine who would really love to meet you. He's really into the whole machine thing, and I bet you, you'd be the coolest thing to him." Kale smirked before she allowed the subject to change.

"As for your dorm, you wouldn't find it in the library, I'm the only one who lives in here." She pointed up with no further explanation. "Your dorm will be in one of the four houses, depending on which house you chose." The finger that was pointing up turned to the general south, where if one went out the south entry foyer, you would come upon the dorm houses. Kale herself had a great internal general sense of direction, but never usually bothered to follow it.

"I'm not sure if I should take offence to that" Hex replied smirking, looking away briefly from the girl "I'm happy that people had the technology to make what I am now." Despite his mutual hate for what he is, he’s still happy he was able to prolong his life with it, it was sort of a love-hate relationship with himself. He suddenly raised an eyebrow again. He could never think of anyone to find himself all to interesting, but that was probably just some low self esteem talking. "I would love to meet him." he said, smiling slightly, once she finished describing the boy’s interest in technology.

His smile grew wider, as he saw the girl change the subject. "You live here in the library? How peculiar...Where prey tell do you sleep?" There wasn’t much of anything that Hex didn’t find fascinating about Kale; just her habits made him want to know more. "Certainly not on the floor, right?" he hesitated a moment to look back at her wings, where he suddenly had a feeling of stupidity run over him "Wait. Never mind. Dumb question." he put on a feign smile and scratched the back of his head nervously, feeling as if he was being judged, - even though quite obviously- he was not. Placing his hand back down to the side, the cyborg commented "I'm in ... Sionnach...I think...Didn't you say something about that earlier?" he asked. The boy wasen't good at remembering things either...

Kale's smile grew wider and wider as Hex went on, and eventually her eye narrowed with an amused glint.

"I'll introduce you sometime. Actually he's in Sionnach as well. I'm what's called your House Guardian, meaning I'm the one who is in charge of you for the duration of your stay with us, Hex. I'm also the one you should call on should you have any questions or concerns. Therefore, you should know how to get to my rooms." She chuckled almost darkly and turned to point up at the ceiling above the rounded wall of the library tower. "You see there? We are on the ground floor. You have to go to the second floor balcony by the northern spiral staircase and find the north stairs to the third floor. If you squeeze past the column on that side," She gestured to the looming pillar with her other hand. "you'll find yourself on a small ledge just big enough for one person to walk across. Around the corner there, on the wall will be a built in ladder to the ceiling. Climb it and you'll find a trap door. Going through it will lead you to my room." She liked her own space immensely, was very proud of it actually. "Though do be more careful on that ladder rather than previous ones. If you fall off that one, the third floor ledge isn't big enough to catch you, you'll fall straight to the second floor balcony." She tutted as if it was such a sorrow, but the continuous grin ruined it. With a quick step, Kale got closer to the cyborg boy, tense wings open slightly in anticipation. Her hands were clasped behind her back, perhaps holding off on something like whisking the boy away without warning.

"Or, of course, I could always take you up, should you have a decent reason, and if I get something in return." The way in which a sudden draft ruffled her feathers slightly made her intentions seem ominous. "But, you're always welcome to visit me. I do get bored sometimes."

"Huh..." The boy listened eagerily, a small smile creeping on his face. He nodded his head quickly after she finished talking about her being the house guardian, then tried to remember the rest of the directions she spoke of.

He read the words quickily before returning to listening to Kale. His smile soon turned to a nervous frown for a little as she explained the ladder, and that if he fell, he would most likely die. No, he WILL die. He trembeled slightly, as he looked at Kale more awkwardly. He tried to not show his awkwardness, by smiling, but the end of his smile was twitching slightly "Thats just ... Lovely..." he said, eyes locked on the girl as she approached him, offering him a flight up "N-no, thank you..." he stuttered out, trying to calm himself my taking a deep breath "I'm not really the best with heights...The only reason I scaled that ladder before is because I didnt see how high I actually was untill I fell..."

The boys snake made its way out of his shirt again, seeming to sence that Kale was getting close, and taking the chance to smell the girl, its head not too far from the girls face, tounge barely able to touch her. "Ughn, Jeo..." he tried to redirect the snake by pulling its head down slightly, but it kept going back up "I'm so sorry..." he took a few steps back from the professor, and continued to try to put the snake back into his shirt, but of no avail. He moaned, hanging his head down suddenly, then looking up at Kale in a defeted manor " Do you mind all to much if you let Jeo ...Introduce himself too you? I guess..." he said "Hes real nice...And stubborn..." Hex said that last part in a low grumble, looking as if it was directed to the snake.

Kale smirked, showing a tad disappointment in her extreme amusement with this situation.

"Well, then, if you ever change your mind..." She trailed the sentence off as she shrugged and her wings folded back neatly behind her. She eyed the snake as it neared, noticing the details in it's scales and the flicking of it's tongue, but didn't back away. As Hex tried to control his pet, she took the opportunity to study more about the boy. His black hair, the reddish, brown eyes, the way his voice sounded as he spoke, almost monotone. Speaking of talking...

"It's quite alright." Kale chuckled as the boy apologized for his snake's behavior. When Hex backed away, she did not follow, but stayed standing with her hands behind her back, carefully watching the robotic child try and wrestle his snake back into his shirt. When asked the curious question of acquainting herself with the scaly pet, she merely raised a delicate eyebrow and nodded. "I do not mind. Though your Jeo does not seem to understand the dinner relationship between a barn owl and a snake." The harpy chuckled and put out a hand in uncertain offering. "What does one do in an introduction of this sort?"

(( Her memories might hold some base in Occulo, but she wont ever mention the name. Also, she doesn't have some of the same powers anymore. I took away the ability to hide the wings. So it wouldn't line up exactly. ))

Sebastian walked into the library hoping to find a book that he could summon out a psychiatrist... He was mumbling in German to himself about how stupid everything was, and how everything had gone thus far. He hated that he had a crush on a student already and he wanted to know what happened that something moved so quickly. He spotted Kale and the color drained from his face. He was frightened of Kale....

Kate had been searching for the library for the past twenty minutes. Libraries were like her place of worship, she loved books more than anything in the world- wait, almost anything in the world she suddenly remembered her sister. Kate frowned. The library had to be around here somewhere, she wondered how long it would take for her to know her way around the castle. There had to be at least three floors...
Kate turned a corner and saw an open door, as she got closer she could see... BOOKS! Thank goodness! She walked through she noticed there were already three people in the library. A man with long White hair, blue eyes and clothes slightly too large for him, a boy up a ladder with a strange red eye and what looked like a metal arm and finally a woman with feathery wings. Kate's mouth fell open slightly as her walking slowed to a stop a foot or two behind the White haired man. "Uh... Is the library open to students?" Kate whispered. "Should I come back later?"

Kale, whose hearing was that of a barn owls, had learned to be more selective of things to take notice of. She had long stopped paying attention to most normal heartbeats when they neared, unless she was hunting. The only one she really noticed anymore was Valentin, but it was always good to know where that walking disaster was if he started getting too close. So when a heart entered the library, she thought nothing of it, and again when a second one neared.

But voices were something entirely different. She never ignored voices unless she knew who it was and did not want to hear their pointless blabbing. This particular voice was that of someone she did not know, which made it a point of obvious interest.

She slowly tore her gaze away from Jeo, hand still offered to him, and looked up to see who entered. There was a strange, young girl, who Kale assumed must be a new student she had not met yet, and a familiar, though not long missed, face. A grin crept on to her expression, and she tilted her head up to appear looking down on the pair, her feathers shuffled slightly. She pinned them with her ebony stare, alight with amusement and malice. Only one word rolled from her tongue.

"Bonjour."

Hex raised an eyebrow, as the snake started to sniff the harpy, slowly getting closer and closer to her as Hex retreted his hand subcauntiousily, when he saw the two people approach them "People?" the boy muttered, slightly bemused, thinking they were alone in this library completly because he hadent heard a sound. His gaze made it to the girls as she approached them feebily. Hex cracked a smile as the reptile slithered back on his shoulder, attention changing to the two new people, watching them cautiousily. Hex petted the snake with his finger once more to ease him, his voice suddenly becoming slightly stoic as his smile dropped and he replyed "I dont believe so." to Kate after she asked the question, thinking that it would be quite odd if he had been here and it was only for teachers.

He looked at Sebastian, whose face was flushed of all colour. His eyebrow rased again as he put his hand back to his side. He was tempted to speak up again, but quickly dissmissed it, trying to keep his abundant curiousity at bay. The boys center of balance shifted from one foot to another a few times, and he then placed his hands in his jacket pocket nervousily, keeping his eyecontact close to the ground, as it went to Kale every once in a while. "Might I ask your names?" he said, quickily, looking up at them once again, asking a persons name one of the first things he was taught, so it became a force of habit. Hex wasn't very good at meeting new people, but you cant say he didnt try.

Kate took a good hundred years to answer. She couldnt help being shy, talking out meant getting a reply, if the reply was angry it could lead on to an argument. Kate hates all arguments big or small.
"Um... I'm... Well... I'm Kate" She whispered, blushing slightly and staring at her feet. Suddenly she didnt care if the library was open to students, everything was too awkward, she just wanted to dash back to her room with her own books. It was only then that she realised she was invisible, it was something she could switch on and off but when she was feeling extremely shy she couldnt stop it. "I-I'm sorry, I didnt mean to..." Then she realised she was just a floating voice. Kate was so embarrassed she couldnt bring herself to be visible again. Oh the shame...

"M-miss Kate... it-it's okay... Kale is n-n-n-n-n-n-n-nice..." it was obvious that Sebastian was not only uncomfortable, but that he had to force himself to call Kale nice. He was scared of her on an extreme level. He was visibly shaking at this point, and he had to try to calm himself down. There was a sudden shift in energy around Sebastian and suddenly he was taller, and the white hair was silver now, blue eyes turned green and there was an almost devious smirk,

"I'm Vlad, the idiot that stuttered was Sebastian, he's not the brightest guy in the world..." his voice was much deeper than Sebastian's and had a more "sexy" tone to it. He was looking at Hex as he spoke then he looked at Kale, "So, I heard your name is 'Kale'." he spoke without using the title, as, who needed honorific titles, he was the best there was anyway, there's no way he was going to be anything more than nice to someone who wasn't as good as he was. Well she was hot anyway... Not that that changed much...

Vlad inhaled deeply, "Sooooo what kind of clan do you come from Kate.... what's your species.... cause I must say.... you smell nice." he spoke with a slight hiss and licked his lips, he was hungry but he knew Ludolf would have him before he was even able to make a move at the girl.

Kale's eyes narrowed on the spot the girl was. The harpy could still hear her, invisibility didn't account for sound, but it was still an interesting skill all the same. She snapped her attention to Sebastian though, and watched with a criticizing stare as the teacher's body changed. Kale stepped closer to Hex, a bit of a protective gesture for the boy. Her eyes gained a dangerous glint when he mentioned her name in such a disrespectful manner. But she shrugged it off with a flick of her feathers, adopting a carefree, unimpressed air.

"Vlad...Vlad..." She tapped a finger thoughtfully to her chin, feigning ignorance. "I do believe I have heard something about a Vlad. Oh, though..." She paused, trying to remember. "I don't think there was really any significance to you..." Her sharp gaze glided over the new body of Vlad. "Oh, wait. I do remember something. The dog said what-not about you, didn't he? A threat to watch for." She scoffed. Her arms dropped and she shrugged. "I really was looking forward to something more...exciting." A hand flipped in the air to exceed upon her point, but it fell as flat as her gaze as she looked upon the man like he was the dirt beneath her feet. "Well, I must say...I am completely disappointed. I expected something much more....well...more." Kale gave the man a last unimpressed glance over before tuning to the invisible girl, dismissing the man completely with a wave of her hand.

"Now, what is really worthy of my attention, is your power...Kate, did you say?" The harpy smiled. "Come here, wont you?"

"Kate? Lovely name." he said, smiling almost modestly, shutting his eyes for a second, to only open them to the girl becoming invisible. This is where his eyesight sterted to confuse him. His one human eye, couldent see the girl at all, unable to see any better than a normal human, on the other hand, his MT picked up the outline of the girl that was once there, still being able to track her movements. But, since one eye could see her and the other couldent, it was kind of a mix of the two. Hex continued to stare at the girl, before closing his human eye, and letting the MT target her, a small deep red crosshair pointing directly at her "Dont fret, I find this quite interesting" Hex explained, actually a bit genuinely interested in the girl now, a small smile peaking out "May I ask how you do that?" The small multicoloured snake wrapped around the boys neck, seemed to also be able to smell that the girl was still there, and continued to keep its head pointed at her. He looked at it for a second and smiled "Seems Jeo has also taken a bit of intrest in you, Kate."

Overhearing Kales spiteful cirtique of the other boy, the cyborg couldent help but turn his attention to them once they finished, and Kale started to lure Kate towards her. "Wow." Hex said, looking at Kale with intrest "Harsh." Hex became nonchalant again as he played with a tip of his jagged hair, and seemed to almost scold the two teachers. "That certanly wasent a very good introdiction towards each other."

So many questions! Kate had no idea how to answer some of them... She decided to slowly approach the bird-lady, hovering a cople of inches above the ground. She looked up, "Y-y-y" Stop stuttering! She thought to herself, she clenched her teeth and sheut her eyes tight for a moment. "Y-yes?"
Suddenly she heard the boy with the red eye speak, "Th-Thank you" She murmured, although she knew he couldnt see her give s mall smile. "I - um... th-the invisible th-thing?" She felt the urge to race out the door again. Suddnly she noticed the small snake poking ot of the boy's shirt. she wasnt sure what to say about it taking an interest in her... "Jeo" She whispered.

Vlad shifted, he thought about using his speed, but decided not to show off...., "Sounds like someone needs to have some love..." his words were smooth, and he breathed in her scent, trying to figure if she would be a good bite or not. The animal mixed blood was always iffy in his mind. Vlad's eyes shot over to the boy, "heh. This woman already knows Sebastian, I think she's mistaken, just wait until your boyfriend Ludolf isn't around Kale." While the first sentence was directed at Hex, it was obvious that Vlad was a little more interested in Kale, as she was being pissy with him. The way he said woman as well, showed that he didn't think too highly of her or women in general... Now would be the time to really do something bad. Perhaps he should try doing something that would get Sebastian thrown off the island... or just hurt in general... as he was contemplating this, Ludolf had managed to work his way out, "Sorry Frau Kale, I knew better than to take a nap... He stretched his wolf body and walked over toward the door, attempting to rub up against Kate to get some loving pets. Who could resist a wolf?

Kale smiled in a misleadingly warm manner to the small girl named Kate. It dropped and her gaze flicked to Hex as he made a comment on her unpleasant speech.

"I never gave any indication to the idea that I was always pleasant, but neither to the idea that I was always unpleasant." Her eye narrowed. "I simply know what I like, and what I don't like. Therefore, I am quick to judge and immediate to act in accordance." Kale turned to watch the vampire as he started. With each passing word that fell from the man's lips, the more the hate in the harpy gathered and swelled. In direct proportion to the increasing loathing, Kale leeched the energy from the air. Directly around her, a slowly progressing diameter of air dropped in temperature. It crept along the floors and the bookcases, her displeasure hanging over like a bad feeling. Even after Ludolf regained control, she hissed lowly, a screechy and grating noise.

"Obviously, you didn't." Kale slowly pronounced the words through gritted teeth and over rounded lips, around her Parisian accent. "Or else we wouldn't be in this situation, now would we. I believe Vlad is the one poorly mistaken. He seems to think that I would hesitate in slaying Sebastion and yourself, Ludolf. We must not let misunderstandings linger." Kale's wings braced themselves tensely and a dangerous smirk split her face. "It is only my, slowly dwindling, respect of Sebastian's position here as a teacher that keeps me from ripping out your throat to kill off Vlad with you. If he ever insults me again, all of you will be sorely regretting your newfound knowledge of just how unforgiving I am." The owl harpy once again let out a sharp and harsh hissing screech as the next words were ground out.

"Vous me comprenez?"

"Mmm, yes." Hex said airily, giving a thoughtful smile and extending his hand towards the invisible girl as the snake slithered across his hand, as if by command. The snake continued to look almost directly at her, its small, feather like tongue sticking in and out every few seconds. It slowly continued -seeing no immediate threat- and attempted to climb on the girls still translucent shoulder. Hex moved his hand back before it could latch onto her, asking "Do you mind? He really seems to like you"

The boy heard the man's comment, but it didn't bring much interest to him, eyes only landing on him for not even a second. He shouldn't try to get into Kales personal affairs or relationships anyway, he wanted to learn as much about her as possible, and her harsh words towards the cyborg just made him ever more curious, giving a sly smile. He continued to hold his tongue, not wanting to cause any more trouble between the already tence aura of the people in the room.
