Happy as a flower. (Corey and Alicia)

Corey was just... strolling. Enjoying the peace, quiet and comfort of his own company. He was in a good mood too- not something he always found himself with and certainly something to be enjoyed while it lasted. Perhaps it was he had gotten enough sleep. Or maybe it was because no one had done anything horrible to him lately- that always helped as well. In fact he was feeling rather emboldened by it. A small smear of confidence that while easily lost, had a positive effect on his current demeanor as he enjoyed the scenery.

Sure it was winter and it was cold- he was quite rugged up in a sweater/jumper. However it was still... nice. It just looked nice, even though it wasn't exactly flourishing- he wasn't sure why but there was something about the garden on this particular day that was simply good. And he was happy.

While all the work on the garden had already been done during the winter clean up event, Alicia still continued to stick around, the way she had trimmed the hedges was by no means masterful but she found a sense of pride that she had done something at least to help out.  She looked rather camouflaged, standing there, with the amount of greens and greys she wore, if it were not for her constantly writhing snake hair, one might not notice her if they were to approach from behind.

Now Corey was anything but a people person. In fact he had spent most of his life actively avoiding them. However, as previously stated today he was in a good mood. There was something inherently pleasant about where he was and what he was doing and it was enough top convince him to push his luck a little further.

He didn't have the most amazing eyesight of course but he could see movement and more than anything smell the faint scents and hear the subtle sounds that indicated life. So he approached.
