I saw we didn't have one of these so yeah ^^ I just hope its alright, if not I understand! Well I get my phone today then (the horrible news) I have an ACT test tomorrow DX I hate that test! They made me do it again though I already passed it last year! Man this school's Headquarters is so mean T.T

Have any of you ever had to take an ACT test? I heard its different for different states.

We had a choice between "SAT" and "ACT" (I'm in PA if that helps any)
I'm currently in college so I'm done with those stupid tests (we also had the option of the SAT2 test)

Oh wow well at least you had the choice ^^ Which one did you do? Ours is either the ACT or Accuplacer so yeah. I rather the ACT because then I can get a little leniency on math so long as my reading is high. In accuplacer it has to be a certain score so yeah. I am in CO ^^

Well, I had no choice but the SAT. They're all ridiculous in my opinion. They should be advocating more creative forms of intelligence!! XD

XD I know huh, just because one is not good in one subject shouldn't mean that they shouldn't pass! Like I enjoy math, but its not my greatest and science is a hell no XD Reading and Writting are a given to me!

Yeah. ^^ A lot of the more creative schools don't rely so much on the results though. I guess it effects scholarships and such. But less colleges are focusing so heavily on the standardized tests. Or so I hear. ^^

So in a way there really is no point XD

I took the SAT. Longest, boring-est test in the whole world. DX I HATED it with a passion!

Well, the thing is that it's still required, stupidly. Probably brings in a lot of money. Those tests are expensive!

Lol oh yes nice nickname XD forgot to mention XD and yeah I had a free voucher since my school is funded in certain areas since most of the students there come from hard times. Its like a private Christian school though i'm not Christian myself lol, but I love it there they actually care about the students well being and passing of grades.

That is great that they offer the test free then. ^^ I'm impressed actually.

It will be long XD, but I took a practice test online and its not as hard as I thought it was so I'm hoping that there will be similarities in it.

Oh man I just got back from the ACT and ugh they shortened the time on all the tests by at least 10 minutes except for the math section. I felt rushed and all discombobulated! Well I just hope that my test results come back soon so I can see how I did.

Dang, you people and your CHOICES. In Massachusetts, in addition to the SATs and SATIIs, we have MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) in 3rd grade, 5th grade, and 8th grade (and 10th, if you fail the 8th). And then for college you get to take SATs and probably SATIIs, maybe ACT in addition, depending on where you want to go. It's a crap-ton of testing that only makes us dumber, since teachers are forced to teach to the test so their students pass.

At least I managed to take the SATs before they changed it to three sections instead of two. Verbal/Math was bad enough, I think they added a Writing or something like that.
