Thievery~~~~~

Madeline's eyes shifted back and forth as she snuck through the kitchen door. It was nighttime, and as far as the little blonde girl could tell, there was no one else around. She walked carefully across the cold, terracotta cork flooring, taking her time to place each step before she moved on, as quietly as she could.

Once she was face to face with the cupboard she stopped and looked behind her. The kitchen was still clear. She knelt down, placing her stuffed bear on the floor and propping his back up against the cabinet doors. Once he was settled, she opened the door beside him. The cabinet that she had randomly chosen had neat piles of silver pots and pans that reflected the low kitchen light. Madeline unbuttoned her red hooded cape, pulled it over her shoulder and laid it open on the floor. Then, she began slowly pulling out each piece and piling it onto her cape.

Being one who liked to steal things, he decided that the castle might have many riches. However, he was unfamiliar with the surroundings, so he decided to practice by stealing toiletries first, just for practice.

He wandered in, his eyes failing in the dark, as he scanned the room for a light source.

He felt something under his foot, and he bent over to pick it up.

Somewhat fluffy, he squinted his eyes trying to make out the figure..a..cat?

Hopefully, it was a feline, for his fetish for felines caused him to take the 'cat' and wander off, running into a wall.

He cursed in elf and began poking around with his staff as if he were blind.

Madeline was so focused on her task that she didn't notice the entrance of another into the dark kitchen. Once she had a sizeable enough pile of pots and pans, the girl frowned and nodded to herself. Then she began to pull the corners of her red cape over the dishes, tied the extra fabric together in the middle almost expertly. When she was finished, she was kneeling in front of a large red bundle. She stared at it, her face emotionless.

After a satisfied moment, Madeline decided that she was ready to go. But before she would be able to pick up the bundle, she would need to get Albert. She leaned forward and began to crawl towards the place where she had left him. Reaching out for her stuffed animal, the back of her hand instead brushed up against a wooden stick. At almost the same time she heard a male's voice say something in a language that she didn't understand.

Eyes widening in panic, she pushed herself backwards, scurrying away from the intruder. Her eyes widened and she let out a forceful hiss, much like an angry cat. Her instincts told her to bolt, but her bear was still on the floor near the strange man, and she couldn't leave without him.

"Blasted darkness.." he mumbled.

Y'know what we should do? We should rip the thing to pieces and leave it there for someone to look for. C'mon, do something useful or fun for once. his conscience nagged.

'Bug off.'

He heard somewhat of a hiss, sounding like a cat.

His eyes widened at the sound. Rather than a stuffed animal cat... a real cat would be much more preferred, in his mind. He began to approach where he heard the sound, still blindly walking with his staff.

As the girl's eye began to adjust to the darkness, she made out the shape of a man standing over her bear. Her hiss had the opposite effect of what she had hoped, and the silhouette began making its way towards her. The frantic girl tensed the muscles in her back, arching them like a feral cat. Her brown eyes flicked back and forth between the man and the bear that was now lying on the ground. All she wanted was to get the bear, and get out. Not even the pots and pans were of much concern anymore.

But, the man was between them. Reacting from a mix of fear and instinct, the girl leapt forward and upwards, aiming a firm and vicious bite at the hand that held the offending staff.



((Sorry this took me so long! I fully intend to RP more often now. ^^;))

"Hello?" He asked, hoping the cat wasn't scared (or Ndale)

He felt a sharp pain up his hand, assuming the cat bit him...though the 'cat's' jaws were alot larger than an average cat...

"...Ndale." He said, annoyed.

Lizzie stepped lightly into the kitchen, thank god she'd found it earlier! Her midnight munchies were driving her insane, "Rosie?" she whispered, hoping the cook was still hanging around. She didn't care what it was she jut wanted a snack. Lizzie's head snapped up when she heard a cat-like hiss. That definitely wasn't Rosie. "I-is someone here?" she asked stupidly, Lizzie could only just make out two shapes. One small and one tall, instead of just feelig around in the dark she decided to set her palms alight and stick them both out in front of her cautiously.

"why are you eating aesis?"

Madeline hung onto the elf's hand for a minute, but was disappointed by his lack of a reaction. Ndale? What did that mean?

The young girl shifted her eyes to the side as a new person entered the kitchen. When the girl spoke, Madeline let go of the hand that she had in her mouth and stood facing the girl. She opened and closed her mouth to try to get out the taste of flesh. There was something less scary about the new girl than this strange man.

Madeline made an urgent grunting sound and pointed to the her teddy bear which was lying on the floor behind the tall man.

Hearing a familiar voice from behind, he turned to see Elizabeth, whom he had met earlier, as well as noticing the light she gave off from her hands. He turned back around to see a human figure, whilst blinking a bit, relieved it wasn't Ndale.

He sighed, then said one of the few words he knew in English: "Sorry."

Lizzie was slightly confused at first at what the little girl was trying to communicate to her, it took her a moment but she bent down and put out the flame in one hand and used it to pick up the bear and hold it out to the small child with a slight shy smile. "is your hand okay aesis?" she stood up and stepped forward with her non-burning hand out in a gesture asking for his bitten one so she could take a look at the damage caused by the little girl. "can I see?"

He nodded, gently removing his hand from being within biting distance of Madeline's mouth, and placed the bitten hand inside Lizzie's outstreched hand.

Lizzie let the ball of fire in her left hand roll up her shoulders to free it and still keep the room lit. Gently turning aesis's hand in her own she spoke, "Does it still hurt?" she examined the bite Mark carefully and sighed, "let's find you a bandage just in case" she gave him a sympathetic smile before turning to the small girl, "it's not nice to bite people, you need to apologise to aesis" she spoke firmly, despite not being that mich taller than the girl In Question. ((is she even taller?))

Aesis glanced at a tiny trail of red marks along his hand. The young girl was no cat, but surely knew how to bite like one. He snickered slightly, then lightly touched the wound. A split second later, he flinched in pain, and his face tightened.

He grimaced and held his bitten hand closer to him.

Lizzie rolled her eyes exasperatedly, "dont poke it silly!" she grabbed his wounde hand back, being careful not to touch the small cuts and held him by the wrist before turning back to the child, "you really do need to apologise, how old are you?" she had left the teddy on the floor for the small blonde girl to get herself but now with her free hand she picked back up. She held it to her chest, "say sorry, it's not okay to bite"

Aesis stared at the teddy-bear-girl. He'd wondered if she was part cat, since she bit him, almost similar to a cat. This, he contemplated only for a second, only to look at Lizzie with a smile, to remove any worry over him.

He hid his hand under his cloak, stood up, and then darted out of the room. Since it was a school, there had to be an infirmary, right?

He'd wandered to and fro, unable to find it due to his misunderstanding of the maps, which were, unfortunately, not printed in his native language.

He tore off a piece of cloth from his cloak, wrapping it around his wound, and went on with his own business, leaving the other two girls on their own. He found it very cowardly, but didn't want to risk being bitten again.
