Rendazzling Surprise!

Pai looked at the parchment in his hands. He'd thought of the various reactions Rendaz would have to it, throwing it away, burning it, or creating some outrageous mechanism for the sole purpose of destroying it. Therefore, Pai decided he would go out of his way and deliver it to Rendaz's face and make sure of it that Rendaz would babysit the kids so Pai wouldn't have to.

He leaned a shoulder on the wall right next to the door and stole one last glance at the note. He'd tried his best penmanship to make it as neat and legible as possible, but the lettering seemed somewhat shaky. It was, alot better than the note he'd given Sara, and he remarked it to himself as an improvement- no...Merely a polishing or marveling at his skills.

He got off his shoulder, and knocked on Rendaz's door.

With a gruff voice that still sounded somewhat like Pai's normal voice, he said, "Rendaz, if you are there, you would like to be spoken to."

The knocking of the door was a sound Rendaz had recently grown to hate - it was a disturbance, and interruption. He had recently installed a doorbell just so he wouldn't hear it anymore - but he removed it after realising he hated that noise too. Grumbling, he stood up from his desk, where he had been working on a set of plans, seemingly for his lessons.

With a few clicks on the metal door, it unlocked, and the mechanics professor swung it open. He narrowed his eyes at the purple-haired figure standing before him. "..." The door was shut again. Nothing of interest today. What he did have the intention of doing was returning to that cup of coffee he'd so rudely abandoned moments before.

"Ah! Hello there! If it isn't-" As the door slammed shut, he stopped talking. "How rude...I just wanted to tell you-" He sighed. "Come out here, I'll show you. Unless you're so much of a sissy lizard you're afraid of me?" Pai scoffed in amusement. "How pathetic."

He began waving the paper tauntingly in his hand in the air, despite the door being a barrier between Rendaz's sight and the paper, so obviously, Rendaz wouldn't see what Pai was doing.

Just for measures, he slipped the paper under the door, half in, half out, as he did with other students.

The paper read: "Rendazzle. It appears you have...been punished. Your consequences are to go down into the dungeon immediately."

At the bottom of the paper, there was, rather than a signature, a stamp, of a smiling face, with the pi symbol under the eye on the right.

Pai grinned, kicked the door, then walked away.

Rendaz ignored Pai's taunting, unwilling to take the bait for what he knew would be no doubt another ridiculous 'adventure' of sorts - not unlike the first time he'd entered his room. Despite this, he couldn't brush aside the twinge of annoyance that settled within - how badly he wanted to face him again just to tear him a new one!

He turned his head at the sound of shuffling near the bottom of the door, and he turned to see an invitation waiting for him. He frowned, knowing not to read it, yet unable to resist anyway. He picked it up, having the full intention of burning it over a fire afterwards, but he stopped short at the command written on it.

A punishment? What sort of lame trick was this? It was he who did the punishing, not some second rate maths professor. He was a dean! He had power! The letter crumpled in his grasp as he opened the door again, seeing the figure of the maths teacher leave. Oh, he'd go there alright, he'd give that professor a detention of his own. Then who would be laughing? Smirking, he grabbed an important looking flipchart (as official people often did) and began to storm towards the dungeons.
