Even If It Kills Me!

Blake smiled at Raye as she explained where she was from. He was glad to hear more about her and her background. He was even more excited to hear that she had lived in Japan as well. He had been there a few times, but wasn't ever able to enjoy the scenery as it was usually for a job. Blake had figured that he would have been able to enjoy more things in life, but he was so filled with hate for the past few years that that's what drove him to only focus on his main goals in life: killing his parents murderers. He frowned slightly as he realized he wasted quite a bit of time, but soon realized that he wasn't too old to completely realize there was nothing to do about it.

Returning his attention back to Raye and the glass of wine, he put his cup down and turned more in her direction. "Ah well that's pretty nice to live in such a pretty place, even if its the heavily populated area, I envy you. As for me I lived in the busy city of New York back at the states. I was there for quite a while, then I went to some island which I can't even tell you the name of. I lived there with other people around my age and left only to travel the world for my missions." Blake paused to grab a sweet treat from the table to nibble on it. "I guess I will be here for a while, but perhaps one day I will live in Japan." Blake then recalled the way Raye called upon her and he grinned, "Ah hey you can just call me Blake if you want I really don't care for titles. You should ask my mentors haha! Ah how they hate me. " He smiled along with his laugh. "Ah so what do you want to do now hmmmmmmmm?"

"It was. It's a shame I had to leave." She ran her tongue over her lower lip as she looked off to the side, remembering why she had left Japan.

"New York, eh? I was courted there in the late eighteen hundreds. I bet its changed since then, though. I should make a point of stopping there for a short while before I go back to Dakota.

She smiled a little. "I know what its like travelling the world on missions. I dont know how Jinn get out as far as they do." She shook her head in exasperation. "It'd be so much easier on us if they'd stick to easy to reach places."

Her eyes returned to him and she grinned, leaning back into the couch. "Thank god. I hate formalities but the two Cobra that taught me Japanese would have killed me if I didn't use them." She grinned wider and made herself a little more comfortable. "They were good teachers but they weren't afraid to tear into you when you slipped up."

After setting down her wine glass, she shoved her arms into her haori sleeves and crossed them over her chest, completely hiding the scarred skin. Again, she congratulated herself on her amazing timing with self consciousness.

Her tongue ran over her lower lip nervously as she looked around the room.
