In Need of Another Entree... or Three
In the week since Tivona's been cooking for the castle, the kitchen has undergone some changes. There are workstations set up around the walls to carefully keep vegetables, meat, and dairy apart; those being the food groups the new cook associates with different dietary requirements. These are in easy-access areas (dairy near the fridge, et cetera) with plenty of space on the tables in the middle of the room to organize dishes for sixty or more.
Heaps of fresh greens dry on one of the middle tables after careful washing, and from the three salad bowls arrayed with chunks of colorful veggies already sliced into them, there's going to be more salad than necessary, though perhaps some of those greens are intended for some other dish. A large tub of rice is set to one side on the next table, though it hasn't been cooked or arranged into any yet. Two plucked chickens with inedible parts removed lie next to the jar of rice, but so far nothing more has come of that. From the smell, there's also something meaty roasting in the oven, but other than smelling good, it's impossible to tell what exactly is in it.
The central table is currently occupied by a half-empty fruit bowl and more cookbooks than most people see in their lives, let alone all at once. Tivona is perched in the middle on a stool, flipping through three books at once, the skirts of her simple black dress arranged neatly about her to avoid crushing folds into the fabric. She constantly looks from the stove (where two gigantic kettles of something savory bubble in the background) to one cookbook, to the next, comparing the recipes she finds in some hopes of finding some combination that will work well together... and not letting her pots boil over either.
((Expecting Pai, but always open to "loved dinner last night" comments. ;P ))
