Rooming with a 'boy' (Roommates)

Kufer always prided himself with his neatness. He had made sure his side of the room was neat after he had unpacked what little he had. An easy job now, but he knew it would become harder as he'd get books from the library to study. His desk would possibly become a mess. He hoped his roommate slept easily and deeply. He never slept, or at least, never needed to.

With his stuff put away, he laid down on his bed and stared up at the cieling. It always seemed to odd to lie on something cofortable. He would feel drowzy even if he wasn't tired at all. That was always something he'd love to figure the reason for. He always heard at as something is comfortable, the body relaxes, but he felt there was more to it. He always did.

Chimney wasn't a very organized girl, but luckily for her room mate, she didn't have many things to be messy with. A couple set of clothes and the essentials she had required and acquired over the past few months. A new room seemed exciting to the girl and Chimney had been looking forward to the moment she could sleep in the new bed. No doubt she'd end up making a nest out of her covers.

When Chimney opened her door she saw her room mate and gave him a wave. No thought really reached her that her room mate appeared to be a male. She hadn't had many male friends, just Draiman, and he was gone now. Looking at her bed she placed her hands on her hips. This wouldn't do. The Chimera picked up the pillow and placed it in the center of the bed. Perfect. Smiling at her sucess she looked at her room mate. "Hello!" Her tone was cheery and she stared to walk over to him with a hand out.

"I'm Chimney! I'm a chimera, what are you?" He looked interesting. After a good sniff Chimney tilted her head a bit. He seemed human like. Her gaze fell upon his cloak. It seemed to be calling to her to ball it up and sleep on top of it.

Kufer looked to the arrival of his roommate. For a few minutes, he felt a slight dread horror at the fact that it was a female he was to room with. Would she misunderstand why he was there? In his thoughts, he had noticed how she continued on to do things as if the gender of his current body meant nothing. This made him both relieved and confused. What sort of girl doesn't care to be roomed with a guy?

He kept quiet, taking the moment to sit in the chairof his desk. He sat a tad straighterwhen she addressed him, "Oh....uh....I'm Kufer Vien....I'm a creature known as a viret....It's nice to meet you, ah....Chimney."

Smiling the chimera giggled a bit. Her ears twitched for a moment, and she did a slight wave, "Hello Kufer Vien!" Skipping to her bed she plopped onto it and lay down on her stomach. Slipping her hands from underneath her, she placed them under her chin, acting what she believed was cute. Chimney liked cute things, like the hello kitty party set she got for Haggis. That was off the charts adorable.

"So what's a viret? I know I am a chimera made up of human, snake and mongoose! Isn't that cool! I am three things! I'm so special." It was nice to talk. Oh her new room mate was going to be so fun to hang out with? Chimney didn't get to hang out with the last one. The girl twirled some of her hair, kicking her legs behind her, lifting them up and down.

It must have been the girl's enthusiasm, but he felt rather happy talking with her. He smiled his rather awkward smile. "Ah, well, that is an interesting combination...Are not mongoose and snakes enemies?" He had recalled that bit of information while reading about snakes, mainly about the properties in a snake's venom, but he still saw that little tidbit. "About my race, we're sort of....like spirits. We can't survive without a solid body...."

Chimney thought am moment before shrugging. It was make some sense she was made that way. She was a test after all. His race sounded awsome though. "So that's not your real body?" Chimney squinted a bit as if she could see his real form. "Are you really a girl?! Otherwise you wouldn't be my room mate right?!" She sounded full of excitement at her possible findings.

She gave the boy a big smile jumping on the bed slightly. Her hair fell in her face, and she brushed it aside. She had finally expressed something about noticing her roommates gender. There wasn't any reason she was not mentioning it. It was just not a thought she thought of as a big issues. She had lived with males her whole life till now any way.

Kufer shook his head slowly, "I....don't really have a gender at all....My kind uses a magic ritual to summon a new Viret." He looked at her a moment before asking, "If, you'd like, I can show you my spirit form. I am capable of living an hour, out of body."

His true dorm! How cool it seemed to her that he could leave his puppet body. "Oh yes! Let me show you my animal form as well!" Chimney smiled getting off the bed and standing up. Her ea twitched slightly before she started shrinking. The progress of the change was quick and soon enough there was an adorable little mongoose head sicking out of her clothes, it made some noise before struggling to slither out of the clothes.

Kufe looked surprised as the girl shrank. It striked his fancy, when he actually thought about it, he hadn't met a chimera yet, so this was new. She said she was par snake, maybe she has a new kind of venom. He smiled thinking about how his roommate might be of service. He looked down at the small, now mongoose, girl. "Impressive."

Kufer was quiet a moment before his body went a little slack. Next moment, what looked like smoke, started phasing through his chest and the silver spirit came out, keeping it's 'tail' connected to the body so it could get back easily. He felt a tad embarrassed since she was the first being to see this form other than other viret.

At the compliment Chimney purred, her forked tongue flicking slightly. As Kufer left the body, the chimera slithered over and got up to it's height by pushing up with her tail. Her little head tilted to the side as she observed him. He was pretty! Quickly going back to her clothes , chimney picked them up and went into the closet. After a quick change she walked out and smiled.

"Pretty!" Plopping back on to her bed, Chimney looked up at him excitedly. "Koofy, we should play a game. I love games!" The vireo was very cool, but Chimney was more interested in having fun with Kufer than worrying about looks or species. The nick name she had assigned him sounded cuter than Kufer. Koo- fee. It was perfect.

Kufer blushed from the compliment, a thing that he could only do in his spirit form and never in a human body since there's no blood to change the color of the skin with. He looked away and quickly returned to his body.

The viret cleared his throat, feeling a little more embarrssed. He was glad she changed the subject, not even noticing the nickname. "Game?....What kind of game?" He wasn't really into childish things but he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"How about a getting to know each other game? I'll ask you a question and when you answer, I'll answer it too! Then you get to ask one!" The girl pulled herself up t sit indian style on the pile she had made on her bed for a nest of sorts. It looked a bit messy, but there wasn't really much to make mess so it appeared more untidy than messy.

"My question could be, What is your favorite food. The you tell me yours and I'd say candy!"

Oh thank goodness. Kufer had been worried he'd have to play some stupid game like tag. With his body control, running was rather difficult but even more so, he just wasn't into that kind of game. He shrugged to her, "It sounds alright.....And I didn't think candy could be even considered a food." He paused, "And since you put it out there.....I can't eat anything but meat, regretably..."

Nothing but meat?! "That so interesting! I like meat but I don't think it would be fun to have it all the time!" She gave him a smile as she waited for his question.
