Re: Please Let This Be The Right Direction
She braced herself against the ground, toes curling, but thankfully the girl was lighter than she'd expected. Still, a considerable weight. As Audi saw her flinch and lean against the tree, some doubts about the girl's ability to walk sprouted in her mind... Shrugging them off, Audi stepped towards the girl and squeezed herself under her arm to support her like a crutch would, letting her lean against the ratgirl's shoulders.
Either way, once she decided she'd do something, she would. But... it would be a long walk to the school. Glancing up at Ashel, she gave a short nod to signify she was ready, then took a small step forward.

Ashel let the rat help her. She leaned a little on its shoulder and found that she could walk with its help. It was awkward, but they were somehow ever so slowly covering ground.
As they made their way through the forest, Ashel smiled and whispered to the rodent, "Thank you."
(sucky ending. I'm sorry.)
