Amanda stepped out of the car and said an awkward goodbye to her father, something she had never done before. She dried up the tears which had begun to well up, grabbed her things and waved her father one final goodbye. She watched her father drive away and turned to look towards the see. The letter said something about a blue building.

"Well...Here goes" Amanda murmured to herself "Stay calm, you can do this"

She breathed out slowly and began to walk up to the blue tavern. She knocked and pushed open, then took a seat. She dug into her pocket to pull out a crumpled piece of paper.

"Oh no you can barely read this..." She whispered to herself and began to panic a bit. She turned around and walked up to the bar

"E-excuse me" Amanda mumbled "Would you happen you happen to know where I can find Mr. Hendry? I need to ask him to give me a ride to lillegard."

The inside of the tavern itself was as worn as the outside. Everything was a certain shade of faded wood; the floors, the walls, the tables, the chairs. And the occupants could not claim to be much different. It was as if they were part of the architecture in their dingy sailor clothes that seemed to mesh into the atmosphere so much so that it was almost surprising when they moved of their own will.

An old woman seems to hear your question and walks over to where you are sitting, a slight limp in her step. Her white hair is cropped short around her sun-worn face and she is wearing an aged baggy shirt and jeans. Her stature is short, though she still stands a good five inches above your character. In her hand she carries a small notepad that seems to be intended for taking orders.

The woman looks at the new girl that has just entered her tavern through narrow eyes, as if she is deciding whether or not to provide the girl with an answer. "Hendry?" she asks finally in a graspy, almost masculine voice. She crosses her arms over her chest, the notepad fitting into the crook of her folded elbow. "Aye, I may know where e'is. Depends on who's askin." She furrowed her thin eyebrows, wrinkling the already loose skin on her forehead as she waited for the girl to give some sort of introduction.

Amanda gave a quiet squeal taken aback by the woman before her. Amanda took a few breaths.

"M-my name is Amanda Cozens. I-I'm supposed to be a late arrival to Liller-Um" Amanda took a deep breath "Lillegard castle. The acceptance letter i-it said I had to come here and find Mr. Hendry. Please Miss...I don't know your name I'm sorry but please can you help me?" Amanda pleaded with all her courage, she exhaled deeply.

Raising an eyebrow, the woman looked the girl over. "Wel, dun go stutterin' now," she said, a tinge of disgust in her voice. She didn't offer her name to the girl, but let out a heavy, defeated sigh, dropping her arms to her side, letting the small notebook slap lightly against the side of her leg. "Aye, go wait outside. I reckon he'll be there."

And without another word, the small woman turned on her heel and walked away, her limp making her footsteps heavy as she waddled across the floor and went to talk with another customer.
