"you still got those pictures, huh?..... perv.." he grinned and gave her an accusing look.

Raye shrugged. "And if I do?"

"now what could you possibly want with a picture of two guys kissing hmmmm?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

"Ah, I'm sure you can hazard a guess, Shae," Raye chuckled, grinning down at the boy below her. "You have a brain under all that unruly hair, dont'cha?"

he chuckled. "Well when it's ME in the pictures.. I think I'd rather not think about it" he replied amused.

"Yare, yare, I think you have too little faith in my honour. If ya must know, I haven't turned the phone on once since the lock-in. It's been sat in my pocket devoid of life." That was true. She only ever turned the phone on when needed.

She fished the small device out of her pocket and dangled it between them by the small wolf charm attached to its corner.

"well it's good to hear you're not a TOTAL perv." he teased, laughing as she dangled the phone as though it was proof of some kind. "never had a phone myself- no one to call... dead people don't talk hehe"

"I wouldn't go as far as to say that," she said shrewdly.

"Dead men tell no tales, aye?" the Jinn whispered, hooded eyes staring above Shae's head.

His eyes flashed and he smirked, shrugging. "Thats right... and they also don't use phones.. so who have i had to call?"

Raye ran her tongue over her lower lip and slipped her phone back into her pocket. "I got no one to call any more, either. Just a useless hunk of junk with some pretty pictures and meaningful music."

He tried to sit up, leaning on his hands. "Well.. I'd offer you my number but... same problem as before hehe"

Raye wobbled when Shae tried to sit up and adjusted herself so she was sat up straddling his hips. "I'll probably not use it again anyway." A grin split her face. "Except to look at the pretty pictures and listen to the music every once in a while."

"Hmmmm... and I'm sure they are VERY pretty pictures" he mused, matching her grin. "But asides that i think we can agree that phones.. are pretty useless..."

"Not all of them are of you and Ndale, Mr. Conceited," she snorted, tugging at a lock of his long black hair. "And it's not all Yaoi - well, shounen-ai."

"Yeah, phones are pretty useless when you have as little friends as I do. But if you went out on the streets and asked around, most of the population would have one. It's shocking how popular such a piece of junk as phones are these days."

She chuckled. "I'd like to see them grow up in the times when I was born. Wouldn't live such comfortable and easy lives as they do now, that's for sure."

He laughed, well he hadn't thought they would be, of course- but being called Mr. Conceited was rather amusing.
"So you have a couple of pictures of your long lost pet or something, along with all the guys making out?" he teased, smirking.

"I suppose people these days really are just very dependent on things like that... I doubt they could survive in times like that anymore.."

"Long lost pet, dead mate. What's the difference?"

Raye grinned sardonically. "I'd love to see them lose all control and go at each other like a pack of rabid dogs."

"Mmmm... me too" he chuckled darkly, licking the side of his lips offhandedly at the thought. "I'd rather enjoy watching them at each others throats.. it'd make me feel a bit less insane" he joked.

Raye grinned. "It'd take a lot to make us feel less insane than we are. I just wanna see the good old days - fighting and primal instincts. Though, from what I've heard, human instincts aren't all that great. Not like I can tell, though." She probed the inside of her cheek with her tongue. "Quite an annoying trait, that is..."

He had to laugh, oh humans definitely didn't have very good instincts... "Hahaha... he.. hehe.. well.. if humans had better instincts they might be less willing to follow a pretty light into dark places.." he smirked.
Personally he was rather glad of it too, he liked how easy it was to mess with them.. and how easy it was to deceive them.

Raye hummed in agreement. "You'd think after all the stories, they'd stop following hinkypunks, wouldn't ya? But then again, it's not only human that are stupid enough to follow hinkypunks. I've had to stop Spyridon from following them numerous times." She smiled at the fond memory. "It's a good thing that boy never grew much bigger than a little pup. It would've been a hell of a lot more difficult if he were bigger than me."

"mmm you would think... but hey- we're persuasive you know" he winked, biting his pointer finger offhandedly, thinking about how gullible people could be. "I suppose he should consider himself lucky then... I don't think anyone who ever followed me ever got out again.." he trailed off looking up at the ceiling trying to remember. "Nope all dead^^" he then looked back down with a perfectly nice smile.

"Huh, whatdyaknow, I actually got something right," Raye muttered. Her suspicions on Shae being a hinkypunk were correct.

"I'm not quite so simple minded as my brother was. I've never been lured by Hinkypunks. But I left ages ago. He probably got caught up by one... Joey might have saved him though. She was always the most impervious to magic. Nathaniel was pretty good, too, though..."

He hmmed, thoughtful again.
"I dunno.. I never though it had much to do with maagic.... but I could be wrong" he mused.
Was his ability to lure people in magical? Maybe his ghost light was magical.. he supposed it probably had to be.. but he'd never really though of his "skills" as being particularly magic.
At all.

"There are many different types of magic. Just because its not the magic that you know, doesn't mean its not magic."

"From what I've seen and deduced, the light is magic. It had properties to draw people in. And from what Spyridon has told me, the rest is all the hinkypunk and their persuasive skills. That boy has gotten too close to being killed too many times."

With a soft sigh, Raye spoke: "I'd give my left hind-leg to have a little more magic. I was always the least magical in the family and it wasn't easy trying to keep up with them all." A grin broke her face. "But I managed to learn how to shift. It took eighteen years longer than it should have, but I did it."

He nodded.
"Yeah i suppose that's about right.. sometimes though i didn't even bother showing myself.. I just let the light do it for me- but I didn't even know if there were other will o wisps out there like me.. I mean.. no book ever mentions a person.. only the light.. but your brother said he met others?
He looked kind of interested now, and maybe if just a tiny bit almost undetectably hopeful..
