Amazingly enough, Solasta listened to Ndale all the way through, no matter how tempted she was just to kick his face in half way just to shut him up. She could only stare, her expression a mixture of shock, disgust, and anger.

"You..." she choked, clutching at her own hair as if moments from just ripping it out. "You are so... ignorant!"

"You choose... 'comfort' over everyt'ink else."
She snorted, staring off into the distance with her arms crossed. After moments, she squinted, before pushing herself to her feet, standing up straight and tall. "Jus' like I said. Yo' no different from anywan else." She aimed a more direct glare at the feline. "You can sit there gettink fat and soft offa human trash, house cat. And I will be here, still clingink to some sense of dignity."

With that, she twisted away from him, taking a step away... Before stopping, just to see if he had anything to add.

Instead of feeling insulted, or angry, at the wording that usually got him so fired, he just felt sad. Ndale sighed and ran a hand through his own hair, pushing it back from his face.

"I'm sorry. It's just not worth it for me." He shook his head with a small smile, though it was not happy. She had yet to give him what other way there is to live, this way that still held dignity. Until that was put to him, he saw no better option. The feline looked up at her back, smile curling up a little more in a slight apology. His time was too short, his comfort too precious, his dignity already based on a precarious perspective.

"If it's any consolation, I do wish you well." He did not stand, he would not stop her. It felt, though, as if this was where his fun finally ended with Solasta. It was not satisfying.

Solasta was half hoping for Ndale to make a comeback. To leap to his feet, deny every word of her rant, before physically clawing the message into her back. But all she received was an apology and an excuse. How disappointing.

She had liked him too. That much was a shame.

She squinted back over her shoulder, returning the same humourless smile. "It is not." She twitched her tail behind her, aiming to flick him lightly in the face. "But thank you anyway."
With that, she started to stride away for good, her head still held high and arrogantly, and her hips swinging with a confident motion. Yes, she'd learned a few things through this meeting of theirs, and not only that, but she'd been relieved of her boredom.
She finally knew what she wanted to do.
