On The Run (Intruder Event)

The Intruder was found in the stables by Ludolf, Zula and Elizabeth. After a short scuffle, the Intruder managed to escape with only a few scratches from Ludolf. No one knows why this man is here yet, only that he managed to send off a homing pigeon with unknown information. ))

The low leaves sighed with the disturbance as the man raced through the trees. He had barely managed to get out of the stables, stupid kids. Brushing past the occasional hanging branch, the sandy haired man kept on, trying to control his breathing. He was sure that little fire devil had followed him, but he didn't know how far, or if he had already lost his would-be captors. He returned his short sword to its sheath along his left arm, the action making a pleasant 'shiing~' that was swept away by the wind.

The intruder dared not look behind him quiet yet, and the dull thuds of his fast pace echoed mutely in the still of the surrounding forest as he ran.

Elizabeth dodged in and out of the trees quickly, the only noise a slight rustle of leaves. She could just about see the intruder and could probably easily catch up to him but she didnt want to get too close, yet. The swirls of fire dancing around her torso, legs and arms barely touching the trees as she swerved from left to right. Her curls bounced around her head but she didnt have a free hand to tie them back as they were both clutching her long thin daggers, they were flung back behind her ready to strike as soon as the blonde stopped.
She continued to chase him deeper and deeper into the forest, as she was flying she thought back to the last time she was flying through the forest. Not fun. She thought to herself and kicked it up a notch getting faster and closer until she was just a couple of meters away,

The intruder looked over his shoulder as he continued to run. Damn, the little one had followed him. He glanced around, but no one else seemed to be following. Well, at least that was good. He should be able to take on a little girl if he had to. But still, he knew that his strengths lied in stealth and flight. Since he had failed on the first one, he'd rather make a run for it than turn around and fight. All he had to do was evade her if he could, and get himself off this bloody island. Then, the damage would be done. He smirked to himself. So close.

Then he remembered the force field that she had trapped him in back in the stables. He couldn't let that happened again. The man veered to the left, further into the forest, hoping to shake the girl off his trail.

Elizabeth continued to stay a bit behind but she could tell he knew she was there. "Crap" She muttered as he sped to the left. Lizzie swerved dangerously close to the thick trunks of the trees. She was quite a bit behind him now and decided to speed up before it was too late. She frowned as she sped up until she was close enough to grab at his shirt. Slipping her daggers back behind her to free her arms and throwing herself at the blonde in an attempt to slow him. Lizzie wrapped her arms around his neck and her thin legs around his waist. Shorts were definitely not the best idea for today...

It was hot. And that was all that the intruder could think of as the firey limbs wrapped themselves around him. He batted at the flames that began to engulf his clothes, and in the confusion, the intruder tumbled forward, falling face first to the muddy ground.

He attempted to roll over in order to extinguish the flames and hopefully squish or throw off the flame-girl in the process. Batting at the fire, he was able to get most of it out, but he was not unaware that his skin was severely burned. In the small of his back his shirt had melded with his skin, causing an uncomfortable pull as he bent over.

After rolling, the sandy-haired man stood up quickly, spinning around on his heels to see where the girl was. It was time for a face off.

Panting and wheezing, Zula tried her best to catch up Lizzie and the Intruder. F-Fast-- I barely can see their silhouette, I need to *pant* run faster... Zula thought to herself. When she noticed the Intruder seems to stop escaping and facing Lizzie head on, Zula tried her best to speed up a little to help her.

After splitting apart from the previous group, Owen wasn't quite sure where to head next. This whole 'intruder' thing was stupid, nobody was going to find him, and if they did, they certainly weren't going to catch him.

He was beginning to make his way back towards the castle, making plans to transform back into a human and relax for the whole day and watch tele-- Okay, he would have to skip that last bit. It was about then that he heard some scuffling, and smelled the unmistakable smell of burning. Following the noise, he peered from behind a tree to see an unfamiliar man standing, his back turned towards him, horribly burned. Wincing at the sight of it, he noticed to other girls further beyond, whom he recognised from before.

It seemed painfully clear to Owen that this was the guy they were looking for. Surging forward, his feet stamped heavily on the dirt as he raised a fist, aiming a heavy slug to the back of his head.

Lizzie was flung off roughly and skidded along the ground, ending up on her side with her legs and arms out in front of her. Her flames and gone out and she was a little dazed but she atttempted to jump back up anyway. Stumbling a little but maanaging to stay upright she glared at the blonde and smacked him across his side with a shield. She was quite a bit away from him now and could feel bruises forming all up her bare legs and arms. She had a graze on her cheek which she ignored, pulling out her thin daggers. "Why are you at Lillegard?" She asked, her voice quiet but sharp. She held her daggers loosely at her sides - Not threatening but not defenseless either. Suddenly a giant rock-monster-thing appeared from the undergrowth and went to punch the blonde in the back of the head. "What the-" But Lizzie had hopped backwards, her daggers now clenched in her hands and was only on one leg. "Uh, Hi?"

Suddenly, without really understanding how it had happened, the intruder was surrounded. He spun his head quickly, taking in his competition. Damn, he thought to himself, I should've just kept running. He was frustrated with himself for getting cocky and trying to take on the fire girl. In that time, the others had managed to catch up, and now he was stuck.

He felt a force hit him squarely on the side. The impact took him off guard and he stumbled as he tried to regain himself. In fact, he was almost sure that he had managed to maintain his balance when an equal force hit him on the back side of his head. He was actually lucky that the shield had knocked him off target a bit, or the blow surely would have knocked him out cold. As it was, he tumbled to the ground, face covered in dirt. He tried to push himself up, but the blow to his head caused some dizziness that he couldn't shake off fast enough.

From his place on the ground, he looked up at the fire girl. She looked pretty banged up herself, and he smiled effortlessly in her direction.

"Why am I here?" he repeated the question, his voice so clear it was almost like singing. "Only to see your lovely face, darling." And in the moment it took him to speak, his head regained most of its clarity.

He was surrounded, sure, but he wasn't about to give up just yet. Pressing his hands firmly against the ground, he pushed off of it, launching himself into the air. The force propelled his body backwards, and he positioned one leg so the heel was aimed directly at the giant lizard's stomach.

Owen grunted slightly as his fist grazed the back of the man's head - not a direct blow as he would've preferred. Then again, he didn't want to kill the man, there's no way he'd be able to get over that kind of blood on his hands.

Watching him fall to the ground, he grinned, satisfied that he'd done his job. It was a lot easier than he expected, especially considering how urgent Everly had made it sound. He dusted his hands off, even despite the fact they weren't filthy at all.

He hardly expected him to suddenly leap from the ground, aiming a kick at his stomach. However, there wasn't enough time to move out of the way, and Owen certainly wasn't agile enough to dodge it. Taking the blow, he doubled over, still keeping his balance. He'd first planned to grab the intruder's leg, but his flailing arms didn't seem to be hitting anything. "Goddamn it..." He raised his head, meekly seeing if the intruder had chosen to move onto the other girls or was still targetting him.

The intruder crouched on top of his target, head swiveling quickly as he took in his situation. He had to make a choice, and fast. The two girls stood behind him, and he had been witness enough to the fire girl's powers. In front of him stood open forest, he could make a run for it... But he knew they'd just follow him. No, he decided, I have to be rid of them.

He took mental notes on where everyone stood, then pulled a bundle from a pouch at his waist and threw it to the ground. On impact, the bundle burst open, clouds of smoke rising in the air. The smoke was thick and heavy. It wouldn't cause damage to the lungs, but it definitely would make it hard to see.

As soon as the smoke rose, the intruder whipped out his dagger. Holding the sharp weapon in front of him, he ran towards the cow-girl, who seemed like she would be the least dangerous of the three. His plan; to take her hostage while he escaped, and be rid of her afterwards.

"Do you always spout this much crap or are you just having a bad day?" Lizzie raised an eyebrow at the blonde on the ground, suddenly he had hit the rock-lizard-man-thing "H-hey!" She shouted. The smoke bomb made her jump but she managed to form a huge invisible dome around them. She could see it was a light pink, very weak and thin, but it would have to do. When he lunged for Zula Lizzie unsheathed her own daggers and threw herself towards Zula, only just managing to stop in front of her. She could feel her side burning from her bruises. SHe winced slightly and her left hand went to her side, the other still holding a dagger up.

Not again! Zula felt irritated that the intruder uses smoke bombs on them, again. She tried to squint through the smoke to see where is the intruder until she sees a silhouette of the Intruder coming toward her, and he was holding a sharp weapon in front of him too. "!!" Before Zula could react as quickly as the others do, Lizzie was in front of her.

Owen frowned, rubbing his eyes. The assult had left a sore feeling in his abdomen, but he shrugged it off to focus his attention on the intruder. However, even this plan was foiled due to the smoke bomb. He squinted, hardly able to make out any shapes, and if he saw them, he couldn't recognise them. Heaving himself upright, he scowled, displeased with how quickly the tide of the battle had turned in the intruder's favour. Of course, he couldn't lunge in blindly, not when he couldn't actually see anything. Stepping back as far as he could, he sighted a nearby stone, comparable to the size of his hand. Picking it up, he aimed carefully at the shapes, throwing the projectile as hard as he could, hoping he would hit the right target, if not missing completely.

Keeping his eyes on his target, the intruder continued to lunge forward, his dagger extended. Suddenly, the little fire girl stepped in his way and he scowled. She was really becoming a pain. Fine, he'd just have to deal with her first. He aimed his weapon towards her, hoping to get the pesky girl out of the way quickly. But as soon as he was close enough, the metal clashed with metal, dagger meeting dagger.

Now, they were face to face and he stared the shorter girl in the eyes. She was shorter, and surely not stronger. It would just take a little push and he'd have her. He used both hands to press down on the dagger, aiming it towards the girl.

Just when he thought he'd had her beat, stones started whirling past his head. He heard the sound of one come dangerously close to his ear. The sound made the intruder falter, removing some of the pressure on the dagger. It was only for a moment, but it was enough time to give his attackers the chance to take back the advantage.

As the smoke began to clear, the intruder regretted the situation he was in. He realized that he should have continued to run when he had the chance, but he had been cocky, thinking that he could take on a few students without any problems.

Lizzie made a sound shock when the daggers smacked together, she had no chance when it came to strength and she was using all her concentration to keep up the dome surrounding them all - Stopping the blonde escaping. She struggled to push with her hands and mind when suddenly the blonde was distracted. It didnt take Lizzie long to realize what it was. "Gah!" Was all she managed before a rock came flying at her face. She pulled up her other dagger to smack it away. A sharp pain shot up her side but she did her best to ignore it.

Lizzie gave the blonde a shove away from her to get some distance but her strenngth was her biggest weakness and it wouldnt have felt like much. She needed to focus on one thing at a time. Keeping the intruder here or fighting him. It didnt look like she had much time, she quickly ducked down suddenly and swung her leg behind the man's own. Keeping her daggers at her sides and hitting him in the stomach quickly with the side of the blade to give him some more force on the way down. Twirling back up and standing protectively in front of Zula, she looked up to the rock monster. "Hi"

After throwing the rocks, Owen peered into the fog, trying to make out whether he'd succeeded or not. It was beginning to clear, and he could plainly see that none of them hit the right target. Looking annoyed, he rushed forward to... Actually, he hadn't planned any of his maneuvers, he was really making them up as he went along. He saw Lizzie trying to bring the man to the ground, and sought to help by attempting to grab his shoulders and force him down, hopefully to keep him pinned. Lizzie momentarily distracted him, and he flashed her an annoyed glance in a 'Not now!' kind of way.

It didn't take the intruder long to regain his composure. The fire girl was trying to push him away, and his grimace turned into a confident grin when he realized her lack of strength. He began to push harder, knowing that she wouldn't be able to hold on much longer. In fact, it was this confidence that made him nearly forget the others surrounding him. He had left the giant lizard lying on the ground, and for all he knew, that's where he had stayed.

He wasn't expecting the sudden movements of the girl as she ducked beneath him, pulling his legs forward while pushing him back at the same time. His eyes widened and he swirled his arms in an attempt to keep balanced. He might have been able to correct it, had the pressure not come on his shoulders, pushing him the rest of the way down.

Before the sandy-haired man hit the ground, he swung his dagger behind him, hoping to get a good jab at whatever was pulling on him. It was a last ditch effort. The intruder knew that his strength was nothing special, and once he was down, he wasn't sure he'd be able to get back up.

Confused, Zula didn't know what to do as she watch Lizzie and a rock monster she didn't know struggling with the intruder. "W-What should I do?" she blurt out, surely someone would tell her what to do.

Lizzie gave the lizard a shrug and smile. She smiled down at the intruder on the floor, her curls hanging around her face and bouncing on her shoulders. "Are you ok?" She turned to Zula, wincing again at the stinging in her side. "Dont worry" She gave her a smile, "Do you-" But she stopped suddenly when she saw the blonde man throw throw his dagger away from him out of the corner of her eye. "No." She stated and dropped the force field surrounding them all to re create another in front of the lizard. This one was smaller but alot thicker and she could see it pulsing a dark blood red - Of course to everyone else it was just thin air. The dagger bounced off and hit the ground near the intruder. 'best not to leave that too close' she though and sheathed her own daggers to bend down and grab the blondes...

After successfully bringing the man to the ground, Owen would've taken the opportuninty to triumphantly stand over him, were it not for a flash of silver that he suddenly pulled. He stumbled back immediately in alarm, the dagger stopping in midair to clatter to the floor. He blinked, not knowing what had happened, but he had nothing to complain about - it stopped it from causing a few nasty scars.

With a deep breath, he resumed his position before the intruder, placing one foot atop his chest. He didn't press down hardly, but it was a pretty considerable weight.

He glanced with frustration at the two other girls, one of which was fretting, doing absolutely nothing, while the other was... well, he wasn't quite sure what she was doing. "Maybe you can sit and have a nice chat after we've sorted this man out!" he yelled, as if volume would make his points more clear. He glanced back at the intrduer, hoping he hadn't tried anything. "Try looking for more weaopns on him or somethin'," he suggested.

Zula flinched slightly when the rock monster yelled, making his points clear. When he suggested either of them search the intruder, Zula volunteered, well... since she's been standing there doing nothing is a little shame on her for not able to help them. "I-I'll do it," said Zula. She still scared of the intruder but she knelt down beside him, which he was under the weight of the rock monster's foot and she began to search by touching to see if he hidden anything under his garment, she's not going to look because it's kinda embarrassing to touch a male's body...not to mention she didn't dare to look... in her point of view.

He had failed. The intruder felt the weight of this reality. He had no strength, and the pressure of the ground on his already injured back was too much for him to fight against. In his mind, he knew that there was only one thing left for him to try. No matter what, he couldn't let them take him alive.

The cow girl was patting him down meekly, so he hoped that she wouldn't notice the small satchel of suicide pills under his shirt. But in case she found it, he would need another way out.

But who would be the most likely one to do it? The cow-girl seemed afraid and unlikely to anger easily. He doubted that she would have the nerve. The fire girl? No. She was dangerous for sure, but he didn't think he could provoke her to the level of anger he needed. That left just one option. The intruder's blue eyes looked up, searching the face of the lizard. Yes, it was his last chance.

"Hey fatty," the intruder called out to the lizard boy. "Try to lose some weight before you crush me, yeah?"

Owen's moody expression changed very little upon the cow girl's offer, his foot placed firmly on the man's chest, with his other tapping on the dirt impatiently. Why were they so incompetent? He could've handled this man bare handed and solo. Although he wasn't certain whether he should really keep him alive - he seemed more than capable of harming someone else after recovery. Of course, he knew everyone else would want to know the 'whys' and 'hows', which seemed pointless. If this current threat was just eliminated, wouldn't it solve everything?

As the intruder called up to him, he immediately stiffened at the name. Did he just... His head snapped towards the man, his eyes blazing with rage at this insult. With a bit of self-control, he could've restrained himself from attacking. He knew it was just a mere last ditch effort. However, he was already feeling irritable, and the man's provocation succeeded in pushing him far beyond his level of patience.

"What!" he yelled, his fists tightening to a ball. "You're going to take those words right now!" Without holding back anything, he aimed a heavy blow to the intruder's face, the better part of his judgement concealed by a livid fury.
