Intruder of a Lesser Degree

Her eyes narrowed in Xanyu's direction as Lunie pointed her out as the criminal in the room. It didn't quite make sense to Larita, how Xanyu could have been responsible when it was so obviously Lunie that had been the one clutching to her neck, his claws at the exact place where the dress had ripped. But when Xanyu admitted to the crime, Larita thought it must be true. It made sense to her that someone would try to place blame on someone else even if it was their fault. What didn't make sense was for someone to confess to a crime they didn't commit, and hearing Xanyu say it was all Larita needed. In truth, all she needed was someone to blame, and since Xanyu offered herself so willingly...

So it became the other girl's fault. Larita's narrowed eyes continued to bore into Xanyu. She was still angry, but having someone to blame calmed her down a little bit. It made her feel superior. Finally, she shrugged. "I'll just have my dad send me another. But you..." She pointed a finger at Xanyu, her eyes squinted to show how serious she was. "You owe me."

Then she stood up, brushing off the front of her dress. "You can start paying me back by helping me pick out another dress to wear." She motioned to the un-ruined suitcase. "Just pick something nice. And help me out of this one." Larita pulled her long hair around her neck, holding it over her shoulder. She turned her back to Xanyu, revealing the zipper on the back of her dress. Larita smirked to herself. Whether or not Xanyu had actually ripped the dress didn't matter, Larita would make use of this debt.

She looked back over her shoulder as she waited for Xanyu. "Where did Lunie go anyway?"

The guilt stung harder than Lunie had expected. The feluis never lied, and for a good reason too. For a start, his emotions would all too often betray his words, making it easy to spot. He'd been raised to be a truthful kid, so even if he did lie, it never persisted for long. Lastly, it was guilt trips like these that dissuaded him from them, and this situation was no exception.

He'd been more than ready to crawl back out and admit the truth, that is, to his ultimate surprise, Xanyu made up her own excuse. Why would she do that..? Half of him wanted to be glad he'd escaped punishment, yet half of him remained dismayed that he never got to admit the truth.

Surprisingly, Larita didn't seem to yell at Xanyu like he'd expected her to. He heard his name, and his ears immediately pricked. They wanted his presence. He took a deep breath, rubbing the residue tears from his face. It took a few moments for him to regain composure before he summed up the courage to enter, still crawling. He eventually returned to his feet, eyeing the two nervously. His head was bowed low, yet still meekly looking up as if he awaited a scolding. "...Sorry," he squeaked under his breath. "I won't run away again..."

He stood nearby to where Xanyu was, seeing for himself the back of her dress. The tear certainly wasn't a big one at all. "...I can fix it," he coyly offered. He looked to Xanyu though, he'd expect her to do her favour for Larita first.

Xanyu nodded, face becoming somewhat stoick. She kneeled down beside the indicated suitcase, looking through the different clothes. She picked up a light blue dress, holding it up for Larita to see, a slight questioning look on her face. After a moment, she stood up again, walking over to Larita to start unzipping the yellow dress, blue dress drapped carefully over her arm.

She was about to answer that she didn't know, when Lunie returned. She had already zipped the dress down a quarter of the way and she hesitated. Would Larita want to change in front of Lunie? He was a boy, afterall. She looked at Larita seeing what the other girl would say.

Larita raised her eyebrows to Xanyu when she paused. So far, she viewed Lunie as nothing more than a puppy dog, and it certainly didn't occur to her to be embarrassed over changing in front of him. And, being from old money, she had spent her life with a personal maid that always helped her get dressed. There was nothing odd about the situation at all. Besides, it's not like she was completely naked under the dress. She was covered as much as if she were wearing a bathing suit.

"What are you waiting for?" she said curtly to Xanyu.

She shrugged slightly at Lunie's suggestion. "You can try to fix it if you'd like." She almost offered for Lunie to take the dress for himself if he wanted, but it was her favorite. Maybe if he could fix it... "Actually, yes I'd like that, Lunie." Once the zipper was undone, she would step out of the dress and hand it to the felius.

Not unlike Larita, Lunie was also confused at Xanyu's hesitation. To him, clothing was merely a form of fashion, and not a means of concealing anything (although they could be used for that reason).

Perhaps his presence was disturbing her? He wondered if she realised his grudge against her and was trying to avoid him for that reason. He pouted crossly, apologetic about forcing the ealier blame on her, but still too peeved at her to bring it up.

He brightened considerably as Larita seemed to accept his offer. Eagerly he reached out to take it once she'd taken it off, glad to be amending his past mistake. "Thank you please!" he gushed, recieving the dress like it were something of dire value.

He walked over to the bed, flattening it out on it before pinpointing the tear, feeling his fingers along it. Nothing impossible to fix. He removed a small needle embedded in his shorts - a pine needle of sorts, short, thin and sharp. They were always handy to keep around, his own clothes often encountered a considerable amount of tearing.

He tied a loose thread to the end of the needle, before swiftly beginning to sew the ends together. It was graceful and quick, like he'd done the action many times before, and when he finished, he tied the loose ends together into a neat little bow for a finishing touch. The needle was returned to his shorts.

He held up the dress before her, beaming. "Is this good?"

Xanyu flinched a little. "S...sorry." She finished unzipping the dress, letting it fall to the ground. She then readied the blue dress as Larita handed the yellow one to Lunie. When Larita was rady, she helped the other girl into the blue dress. Once on, she backed away hoping she wouldn't be yelled at anymore.

Xanyu looked over to Lunie and felt somewhat in awe at his speed. He must have done that often to do it that quick. It seemed rather pointless for Larita even to change.
